Disaster Response

Dave Rosenof was hired as Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of Hunter Construction Services, a small disaster-recovery contractor. He was brought on board to transform their disaster response business to leverage that expertise as an entrée to ongoing heavy maintenance work. Dave assumed responsibility for the full cycle—from initial client acquisition and development through acquisition of projects, operations, billing and follow-through.

In some cases, disaster work such as water main leaks, vandalism or storm damage led to other work.  More often, the goal was to identify clients, secure their commitment to properly plan for potential disasters, then solicit their business for small maintenance, large maintenance, remodeling or ideally, new construction. Most of these disaster projects were in the range of $5,000-$500,000. Dave was responsible from the initial disaster response to recovery and remediation, and ultimately reimbursement through negotiations with third party adjusters and various insurance companies.

Dave increased the number of the company’s clients by over 300% in two years while also improving profit margins through efficiencies.  Clients included the Village of Bal Harbor, Archdiocese of Miami, Diocese of Palm Beach, City of Pompano, Tides at Bridgewater Square, Marquis Condo and Rock Resort.

This work was completed while Dave was employed by Hunter Construction Services.

Dave always responded in a timely manner with manpower, equipment and the know-how to deal with any size problems. Further, his ability to negotiate with our insurance company, as well as perform the final repairs makes him a valuable asset to our building.
