Coconut Creek City Hall Renovation

Before

Big Dog served as General Contractor on the renovation to the Coconut Creek City Hall Lobby and City Manager’s Offices. This project was completed in two phases, each of which was completed approximately 8 weeks ahead of schedule with no in-scope change orders.

Phase I included the Lobby/Reception Area, Development Services, the Inspector’s Office and Public Restrooms. The interior remodel of these areas included new underground power and data feeds. Finishes included new radius millwork with waterfall quartz tops, flooring and wallcoverings throughout, and new interior “storefronts” on some offices. In addition to the remodel, the public restrooms were reconfigured to be compliant with the ADA.

Phase II included the City Manager’s Offices and Porch. These areas included an interior remodel of numerous offices including conference and break rooms. A private shower and restroom were also created.

The existing exterior porch was converted into interior office space, with associated structural work. New glass and glazing, flooring, doors and a reconfiguration of the ceiling were included.

The project won an ABC Eagle Award for Excellence in Construction.
